Machining Applications I
This course provides an introduction to a variety of material-working processes that are common to the machining industry. Topics include safety, process-specific machining equipment, measurement devices, set-up and layout instruments, and common shop practices. Upon completion, students should be able to safely demonstrate basic machining operations, accurately measure components, and effectively use layout instruments. PLEASE NOTE: Payment for continuing education classes is expected at the time of registration, as the classes are on a first-come, first-served basis. All costs must be paid for a student to be officially registered.

Notes when using Online registration

**NOTE: If you are 16 or 17 years old, you will have to register by completing a Continuing Education registration form. Contact the Registrar’s Office at firstname.lastname@example.org or 704-922-6232 to request a Continuing Education registration form or you may register in person at the Dallas Campus.
Payment is due at the time of registration prior to the class date. You cannot DROP/WITHDRAW from classes using WebAdvisor.

If a student officially drops from a class or classes before the 10 percent date of the class(es), a 75 percent tuition refund will be given for the class(es) dropped. A 100% refund will be made if the student drops from the class prior to the class start date. No refunds will be given after the 10 percent date. If a course fails to materialize, refunds are automatically processed. (The refund policy is subject to change.
