Basic Transport Electricity

This course prepares individuals for entry-level employment as automotive service technicians, with a primary focus on electrical and electronic system diagnosis and repair. Topics include Ohm’s Law, circuit construction and operation, wiring diagram interpretation, circuit testing procedures, electrical measurements, and fundamental troubleshooting techniques. Emphasis is placed on the diagnosis, testing, and repair of automotive electrical systems, including wiring circuits, batteries, starting systems, and charging systems. Upon completion, students should be able to accurately interpret wiring diagrams, utilize diagnostic test equipment, and perform basic electrical system diagnosis, testing, and repairs in accordance with industry standards.

Refund Policy

If a student officially drops from a class or classes before the 10 percent date of the class(es), a 75 percent tuition refund will be given for the class(es) dropped. A 100% refund will be made if the student drops from the class prior to the class start date. No refunds will be given after the 10 percent date. If a course fails to materialize, refunds are automatically processed. (The refund policy is subject to change.
