GC Learning Center: How we can help you succeed (30 minutes)

Whether it’s your first semester in college or you’re wrapping up your time here, the GC Learning Center is all about helping you succeed along your academic journey. Join Courtney Edwards, our Specialist at the Learning, Persistence, and Completion Center, to find out what kind of services we offer, how online tutoring works, when and how to schedule an appointment and more. Men of Excellence: Support for Success (30 minutes)

If you’re a young man looking for support and mentorship on your path to success at Gaston College then we invite you to this virtual visit with Kendrick McDowell, our Minority Male Success Initiative Success Coach. He’ll talk about his role as a success coach and how he and other success coaches can help you transition into college and be successful throughout your time at Gaston College and beyond. You’ll also have a chance to learn more about our Men of Excellence program that is geared to Minority Male students, but open to all, and provides an array of services to increase student engagement and success.
Student Life: Learn, Engage & Succeed at GC (30 minutes)

Student life is about experiencing Gaston College (GC) to its fullest. The Office of Student Life along with the Student Government Association provides activities and services to enhance and broaden your educational experience as a student. Through student programming and clubs and organizations, GC offers co-curricular and extracurricular programming that supports student success, leadership development, community involvement, engagement, social connections, and diversity. Join Renita Johnson, our Director of Student Life and Special Projects, to learn more about getting connected and staying engaged throughout your GC journey.
