Student Development and Support Services (SDSS) is committed to supporting the academic success, personal growth, and overall well-being of Gaston College students from entry to graduation. SDSS offers a variety of programs and services, including Accessibility Services, Counseling Services, Student Emergency Assistance, Early Alert and Intervention, and Student Success Programming.

SDSS also fosters student engagement through leadership development, student clubs and organizations, co-curricular activities, and campus events. The department coordinates Student Life, the Student Government Association, TRiO Student Support Services (SSS), and oversees  the Student Code of Conduct. In collaboration with faculty and staff, SDSS provides holistic support to help students overcome challenges, stay on track academically, and achieve their academic, career, and personal goals.
