SELF-SERVICE USERNAME AND STUDENT ID #
Your Self-Service username and student ID number were provided to you after completing the admission application. They were mailed to the address provided on your admission application. If you need assistance with your log-in credentials, please call 704.922.6232 or 704.922.6420.
You may also obtain your username from Self-Service.
- Go to gaston.edu
- Click the SELF-SERVICE link.
- Click on SELF-SERVICE button.
- Click “Forgot your username”, then type in your name and email address; click Submit.
Obtaining Your 7-Digit College ID# (Note: Must log in to Self-Service to obtain.)
- Follow the steps above for logging into Self-Service
- Click on your username at the top of the page, then User Profile. Your College/Colleague ID# will be displayed under your name in the ABOUT YOU section at the top of the page.
PASSWORD MANAGEMENT
Multi-factor authorization (MFA) must be setup prior to changing your password. One password will access Self-Service, Outlook/Email, Blackboard Learn for curriculum students, Watermark, Lab Printing, and Wi-Fi. If you need assistance with your log-in credentials, please call 704.922.6232 or 704.922.6420.
Resetting your password within these applications
- Type in your student email address (self-service [email protected])
- Click Forgot my password.
- Type your Email or Username.
- Type the provided characters.
- Click Next.
- Follow the verification steps.
- Enter your new password and confirm by entering it again.
- Click Finish.
MyGASTON
MyGASTON provides access to all of your important Gaston resources — Self-Service, Outlook/Email, Blackboard Learn for curriculum students, Watermark, etc.
Accessing MyGASTON Apps
- Go to gaston.edu/myGaston
- Click the myGaston button
- Type in your student email address (Self-Service username@mymail. gaston.edu).
- Type in your password (or see Password Management section).
- Approve the Microsoft Office sign-In request
- From here, you can click on any available applications

PRINT MANAGEMENT
WHAT IS PRINT MANAGEMENT
Print Management is a service instituted by Gaston College to significantly lower the cost and environmental impact of printing. Students are credit $10.00 per semester. Remaining credited balances do not roll over to the following semester. Any credits directly purchased by the student will roll to the following semester but will not be refunded.
WHAT IS MY USERNAME AND PASSWORD FOR PRINTING?
Your Network login credentials; the same username and password used to access a lab computer.
WHAT IS THE COST FOR PRINTING?
Black and White
Single sided – $0.10/per page
Duplex – $0.15/per sheet
Color
Single sided – $0.25/per page
Duplex – $0.35/per sheet
HOW DO I PUT MONEY ON MY ACCOUNT TO PRINT?
Students may add funds to their account via PayPal (using the print management window in the top right corner of the college computer screen) or at coin-op stations that are available in each of the libraries on the Dallas, Kimbrell and Lincoln campuses.

HOW DO I PRINT FROM A WIRELESS DEVICE?
Use your web browser to upload and print a document to one of the supported campus printers.
