Apply for Scholarships!

College is a major financial and time commitment that can be a challenge for any student to take on. The Gaston College Foundation hopes to ease those burdens for some students with the help of scholarships. Applications for the 2022-2023 academic year are now being accepted through the Gaston College scholarship portal. All prospective and current Gaston College students are eligible and encouraged to apply now through April 30, for priority consideration.  

Whether this is your first time enrolling in college or you’re going back to school, the Gaston College Foundation wants to help students no matter where they are on their educational journey. Thanks to generous donors, nearly $400,000 will be awarded through more than 100 scholarship funds. The hope is that these scholarships will help ease the financial strain of paying for college and allow students to put their time and energy into their studies.  

 Applying for scholarships is easy! Gaston College uses a system that automatically matches you to any scholarship opportunity you qualify for, therefore, for the majority of scholarships you need to submit only one general application.  

 Be sure to fill it out your application completely and write a letter/statement for the “Why I Need a Scholarship” portion as this is a significant piece of the scoring for scholarships. To get started on your scholarship application or for more details, visit gaston.edu/scholarships.
