The Counseling and Career Center provides guidance to students who are trying to choose a program of study or a career. We are here to help whether you are a new student considering Gaston College for the first time, an undecided student just starting out, a current student changing directions, or a transfer student trying to plan for the future. Choosing your career path is a major life decision, and we are here to help.

Lincoln Campus – Call 704.748.1051

Holidays are excluded. During the summer months, Gaston College is closed on Fridays.

Preparing for Your First Appointment

While you do not have to bring anything to your initial appointment, we encourage you to bring in a list of any programs of study or careers you have considered. You could also bring in a list of what you want most, or what you like least, in a career so that we can start our conversation there. Any ideas you can bring to the appointment will help us understand more about you and what you are seeking in a career.

While our office specializes in helping students make a career decision, click here for other on-campus offices that provide career services such as job search assistance, full/part-time job listings and short-term training.
