Gaston College ranked among best Online Community Colleges for 2021

College recognized as best for accelerated classes

Gaston College is ranked by Intelligent.com as among the best online community colleges in the United States for 2021. The Seattle-based resource for online degree rankings and higher education planning analyzed 286 schools and 333 education programs. Only 59 schools made it to the final list. Gaston College was recognized as the bestschool for accelerated classes, and it ranked 38 overall. The rankings were announced on May 4.

All of the schools that were assessed are regionally accredited, and the schools’ online offerings were evaluated based on cost, flexibility, reputation, and faculty. In its report on the rankings, Intelligent.com said, “Our top picks for the best online community colleges are highly-regarded and a good value.”

Although Gaston College’s online offerings increased due to restrictions imposed in 2020 by the COVID-19 pandemic, the school’s online curriculum has been highly successful, effective and popular with students.
