Lees-McRae College – Guaranteed Admission Program
The Guaranteed Admission Program (GAP) between Lees-McRae College (LMC) and Gaston College is intended for successful students who plan to transfer to Lees-McRae after earning an associate degree at Gaston College. Any Gaston College students who earns an Associate in Arts (AA), Associate in Science (AS), Associate in Applied Science (AAS), and Associate in Fine Arts in Visual Arts (AFAVA) will be automatically admitted to Lees-McRae College (minimum GPA required).
BENEFITS
- guaranteed admission to Lees-McRae College (note: admission to specific programs are based on GPA requirements)
- receive merit scholarships that range in amounts up to and including 60% off Lees-McRae College tuition for the duration of the student’s tenure at LMC, provided the student remains in good academic standing
- application fee waived for all Gaston College students applying to LMC
ELIGIBILITY
- be a currently enrolled student at Gaston College in a degree-seeking capacity
- submit Lees-McRae application for admission and disciplinary forms by Lees-McRae deadlines
- earn an associate degree from Gaston College in a college transfer program or in an associate of applied science program for which an articulation agreement exists
- enroll at Lees-McRae within one academic year (within the next two regular terms i.e. fall/spring semesters) of completion of the associate degree
HOW DO I APPLY?
- contact transfer.advising@gaston.edu to join the GAP program from Gaston College to LMC
- Gaston College students should apply for admission to LMC and directly to the intended major/academic program of study during the second semester of sophomore year at Gaston College
