Special Credit & Visiting Students
Students who wish to take credit courses without completing a full program of study are classified as Special Credit. Students enrolled at another college or university who plan to transfer credits back to their home institution are classified as Visiting Students.
- A maximum of 15 credit hours may be earned before declaring a major or program of study.
- Tuition and fees are the same as regular curriculum students.
- Financial aid is not available for Special Credit or Visiting Students.
How to Enroll
- Apply Online
- Complete the free CFNC general admissions application. (Apply Online)
- On the Enrollment Information tab of the CFNC application, for the question, “Choose the program of study/major that interests you most: *, select either:
- Special Credit/Non-Degree Seeking Student
- Special Credit/Visiting Student from Another Institution
- Returning Visiting Students
- Your Gaston College Student ID will be sent to the email address you placed on your general admission application within 3 business days.
- Complete the Visiting Student Form**
- Once the form is complete, check your Gaston College email frequently for further instructions.
- New Visiting Students
- New students must complete the online orientation.
- Instructions will be emailed once your student account is created. This can take up to 3 business days.
- All NEW visiting students should complete the Visiting Student Form at the end of the online orientation.
- Once the form is complete, check your Gaston College email frequently for further instructions.
