- No bags will be allowed inside FUSE Stadium. Please make sure your guests know they must leave their bags in the car. If they get to the gates with a bag, they will be directed to return to their car and leave the bag.
- Please make sure you and your guests park in a legal parking space/area. There is a large parking lot directly behind the stadium, there is a church directly across the street, Loray Mills is just a short distance past the ballpark and the YMCA is close to the stadium. These should be the preferred parking locations. We have been advised by FUSE staff that you should NOT park in the Sav-A-Lot parking lot next door to the stadium. If you park there, your car will be towed and you will be responsible for the towing bill. There will be FUSE staff members monitoring these parking lots to make sure there are spaces available and they will be closed once they fill up.
- All graduates must enter through the gate located near the flag poles. If you go to one of the front gates, you will be directed to the graduate entrance gate.
- If you have not picked up your tickets and your cap and gown, these will be available at the stadium tomorrow morning. Graduates, your cap and gown will be located inside the graduate entrance. There will be a table located outside the main entrance on S. Hill St. where your guests may pick up your tickets. All guests over the age of 2 must have a ticket. Please help us to make the entrance as smooth as possible by making sure all of your guests (up to the maximum of 3) have their tickets when they approach the gates.
Commencement is scheduled for Friday, May 14, 2021, at 10 a.m. We will be holding Graduation at the FUSE District Stadium at 800 W Franklin Blvd in Gastonia. Please plan to arrive by 9 a.m. to get lined up for the ceremony.
COVID-19 Safety Protocol
All attendees will be required to wear a mask and practice social distancing.
Each graduate will be able to invite up to three (3) guests. While we wish we did not have to limit guests, we must comply with state guidelines for outdoor gatherings. You may pick up your guest tickets on the same day you pick up your cap and gown (see the Cap and Gown section below).
Some parking areas on the map may require a 10-minute walk to the stadium. Limited handicapped parking is available behind the FUSE Stadium, but you may also drop off members of your party at the main entrance to the FUSE Stadium and proceed to a parking area on the map. We encourage you to carpool with your guests as much as possible.
We will notify you via email by noon on Thursday, May 13 if the ceremony must be moved due to inclement weather. The inclement weather location will be Gaston College’s Dallas Campus. Due to capacity constraints, students will be split into five different groups by academic division should we be required to move graduation to our campus. See below for inclement weather graduation ceremony times.
