Work-based Learning

Work-based learning (WBL) is an academic class that you register and pay for like any other college class, but students work to gain practical experience with an employer and earn college credit at the same time.

To qualify for WBL, students should:

  • Have a minimum 2.0 overall GPA
  • Be recommended by faculty in the program of study
  • Meet course pre-requisites before enrolling

Why should I enroll in WBL?

  • Gain professional experience
  • Network with employers
  • Test drive a career before graduation
  • Earn college credit while working
  • Increase self-confidence
