Cosmetology
The Cosmetology program at Gaston College provides students with the knowledge, skills and training they need to have success in the cosmetology industry.
Earn an Associate Degree, Diploma or Certificate
At a cost substantially less than at a private beauty school, you can get your associate degree or diploma and be ready for your licensure exam, or you can earn a certificate to be an instructor of Cosmetology.
Hands-on Experience
At Gaston College, cosmetology students are trained in all phases of professional imaging, including hair design, skin care, and nail care, etc., and you’ll have the opportunity to get real work experience with clients at the salon located on our Lincoln Campus.
State Board Exam Prep
Upon graduation you should qualify to sit for the State Board of Cosmetic Arts examination. After passing the State Board exam you will be issued a license.
