In observance of the year-end holidays, Gaston College will close at 3 p.m. on Friday, December 19, and will re-open on Monday, January 5, 2015.
The semester break for faculty members is Thursday, December 18, through Wednesday, January 7. Student break is Thursday, December 18, through Friday, January 9, with the spring semester classes beginning on Monday, January 12.

Gaston College will celebrate its 50th anniversary throughout the 2014-2015 academic year, with a calendar of activities to commemorate a half-century of commitment to Gaston and Lincoln counties.
John and Dr. Malinda Lowery, co-chairs of the Gaston College 50th Anniversary Celebration Committee and Gaston College alumni, have established a new endowed scholarship.
Gaston College and workforce development partners from Gaston and Lincoln counties are visiting local businesses to hear their challenges and successes related to finding and retaining high-quality employees. The visits are part of Governor Pat McCrory’s NCWorks “1,000 in 100” initiative.
