Morris Library Training Lab – Room 120
The Training Lab includes 7 computers plus an instructor’s station, with a data projector, whiteboard, and also houses the library’s 3D printer. The Training Lab is used to introduce students, faculty, and staff to new technologies as they become available to our campus community. Please come back to this page often to see the workshops that are offered each semester.
Gaston College Libraries will also be providing Zoom sessions for complete online learning. During Spring 2021 all training sessions will be provided using Zoom. Please see the calendar below for scheduled workshops and links to signing up for a Zoom session.

Research 101
Please join me for an informative session on how to begin research with library resources. There are so many different options to choose, it makes it difficult to know which way to go. Learn the alternative to Google and get experience with one of our librarians in the proper way to tackle your research question and get to sources that are valid and useful for your research. This session is open to anyone who would like to know more about what the library offers.
Offered by Calvin Craig, this class provides basic orientation on how you access library resources, access off-campus, including hands on use, and a Q&A session at the end.
Upcoming sessions are scheduled for the following dates and times:
Wednesday, January 28 10am-10:30am
Wednesday, February 10 3pm-3:30pm
Thursday, March 18 11am – 11:30am
Thursday, April 8 2pm – 2:30pm
These sessions will be offered through Zoom. Please make sure you download the software you need by clicking the session you are attending before the session starts.
