Gale Virtual Reference Library provides respected authoritative essays on varied topics from numerous subject areas, all in E-Book reference title format.


Home Grown eBook Collection

Over 1,200 titles, including novels by popular North Carolina authors, popular and scholarly nonfiction, short fiction, and poetry, all published by eight North Carolina publishers: Algonquin Books, Crossroad Press, Gryphon House, Ingalls Publishing Group, John F. Blair Publishing, McFarland, Press 53, and UNC Press.


MyiLibrary

MyiLibrary is a searchable full-text collection of ebooks.  It covers ebooks in various subject disciplines.  MyiLibrary eBooks may be browsed online and 10% of a given text may be saved or printed. Due to licensing agreement, you may not download the entire ebook. In addition, the titles in MyiLibrary cannot be viewed by Kindle or Nook. The contents can be viewed by any PCs, iPad or other similar devices that support web browser and Adobe Acrobat Reader.  Searches can be made across many e-books or within a particular e-book. You may wish to sign up for a free account with MyiLibrary. With this account, you can save searches and bookmark titles for later use, as well as set up email alerts.


Open Library

The Open Library NC Project is a collaboration between the Internet Archive and NC LIVE. Because of this collaboration, all of North Carolina has access to a large-scale shared downloadable eBook collection called the Open Library eBook Lending Collection. The eBooks in this collection are digital scans of books contributed by libraries around the country.
