• Explore fiber manufacturing processes, fiber properties and fiber to yarn processing, including ring spinning, open-end spinning and air-jet spinning technologies.

• Investigate fiber and yarn quality test methods and their respective quality advantages and disadvantages.

• Understand the difference between direct and indirect yarn numbering systems, and how to calculate yarn counts
