Online Textile Academy

Our Virtual Textile Academy is a stackable credentials program that offers a comprehensive pathway for those seeking specialized skills and expertise in the textile industry. Designed to accommodate learners at various stages of their career journey, the Academy provides a flexible and dynamic approach to skill development and advancement in the field of textiles.

All of the training courses include in-depth modules covering all the topics that we’ve been teaching at our in-person training sessions for years. Through an interactive platform, students will explore the world of textiles and gain a foundational understanding of fibers, fabrics and their applications.

  1. Fundamentals of Textiles: Understanding fibers, yarns, and fabrics.
  2. Textile Manufacturing Processes: Exploration of weaving, knitting, printing, and dyeing techniques.

Registering for courses

PLEASE NOTE: Payment for continuing education classes is expected at the time of registration, as the classes are on a first-come, first-served basis. All costs must be paid for a student to be officially registered. If you need assistance with Registration, please contact CE Registration at 704-922-6232.

Click on the following link and follow the instructions as listed: CE Registration LinkReminder: In the Search for sections field, enter a single keyword (Textile). Scroll down until you see the course. Once you locate the course you want, click the Select button.  An Information Pop-Up box will appear. Click the blue Add Selection button to add the course to your cart.  After adding desired course(s), click the Next button at the top of page to proceed to payment window. You do not need to sign in. You can complete the payment as a guest. No additional information is required.

Credit Card is the only form of payment accepted online.

Notes when using Online registration

  • If you have an address change, name change, etc., we will need this updated information so we can contact you in case of a class change/cancellation or refund. Entering different information on the registration form will not update any existing records.  Current/Former Students: please click here to provide us with a current email address and phone number if it has changed since first enrolling at Gaston College or you may call the Registration Department at 704.922.6232.

Company Registration for Invoice Billing

Payment is due at the time of registration prior to the class date. You cannot DROP/WITHDRAW from classes using WebAdvisor.

Refund Policy

If a student officially drops from a class or classes before the 10 percent date of the class(es), a 75 percent tuition refund will be given for the class(es) dropped. A 100% refund will be made if the student drops from the class prior to the class start date. No refunds will be given after the 10 percent date. If a course fails to materialize, refunds are automatically processed. (The refund policy is subject to change. Refunds of tuition will be issued in accordance with the current state and college policy.) To request a refund or transfer, please email [email protected] or call 704.922.6232.
