They have numerous tools and resources at their disposal to aid in this very challenging type of analysis.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><strong>Please contact Leslie Berryhill Taft to discuss<br \/>\nyour fabric and defect analysis needs.<br \/>\n704-825-6293 or <a title=\"Email Leslie Berryhill\" href=\"mailto:ttcmicro@yahoo.com\">ttcmicro@yahoo.com <\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<h2>Services Offered<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Cross Section\u00a0<\/strong><br \/>\nYarn and fiber identification and analysis per cross section.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Defect Analysis Sample Exam\u00a0<\/strong><br \/>\nVisual analysis and defect determination<\/li>\n<li><strong>Fabric Construction\u00a0<\/strong><br \/>\nVisual determination of weave process.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Filament Count\u00a0<\/strong><br \/>\nDetermine filament count<\/li>\n<li><strong>Knit Extension\u00a0<\/strong><br \/>\nMeasures the tightness and looseness of a yarn within a knitted fabric.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Plastic Replica\u00a0<\/strong><br \/>\nDetermines if defects in a fabric such as streaks and barre are caused by physical or dye defects.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Pressure Level\u00a0<\/strong><br \/>\nSupplemental dye lab procedure for defect determination.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Sample Prep\u00a0<\/strong><br \/>\nSeparate normal and defect for woven and knit<\/li>\n<li><strong>Scrim Analysis\u00a0<\/strong><br \/>\nAnalysis comparison of one fiber component to the other in an intimate blend.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Short length yarn denier from fabric\u00a0<\/strong><br \/>\nThis method covers the determination of the yarn taken from any textile fabrics in which the yarns are intact and can be removed in measurable lengths. Because this method is based in short length specimens, the results should only be considered as approximations of the yarn number.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Staple Length from fabric<\/strong><br \/>\nThis method covers the determination of average staple length and staple length distribution of both manufactured and natural fibers by manually measuring single fiber length.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Twist per inch (from fabric)\u00a0<\/strong><br \/>\nThis test determines the amount and direction of twist at the completion of any stage of twisting in single (spun or filament) yarns taken from fabrics.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Unravel Warp Knit<\/strong><br \/>\nFabric deconstruction, usually for further analysis.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Weave Extension =<\/strong><br \/>\nMeasures the tightness and looseness of a yarn within a woven fabric.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\">\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Fabric Analysis Laboratory has a talented staff adept at analyzing fiber, yarn and fabric defects.
