WSGE 91.7 Honors The 2017 Phenomenal Woman
WSGE 91.7 FM Honors Anna Hall as The Phenomenal Woman for 2017
WSGE 91.7 FM, the non-commercial public radio station that broadcasts from its studio on the Dallas Campus of Gaston College, chose a local woman for being a phenomenal member in their community in honor of Women’s History Month in April.
The purpose of this award is to honor the contributions and achievements of the women in the greater-Charlotte area. A committee of WSGE staff and community members selected Anna Hall of Hickory, NC for her volunteer work within her community along with her online newsletters and website (www.hickory.macaronikid.com) that provides families with information for free or inexpensive outdoor activities. Ms. Hall’s goal is to get families outside and active while reducing “screen-time”. Her site now boasts over 14,000 subscribers.
Anna was nominated by her husband, Eric Hall. She was rewarded with a Certificate of Recognition, a $100 VISA gift card, and was interviewed on-air during WSGE’s Premiere Public Affairs show The Roundtable Sunday Edition with Randy Walker. Affairs show The Roundtable Sunday Edition with Randy Walker.
WSGE is honored to recognize the other nominees for the Phenomenal Woman for 2017 award. The women listed each have a positive impact on their local community that is no less phenomenal and we thank you.
