Community Resource Fair

A Community Resource Fair on the Lincoln campus of Gaston College is intended to inform students and the public of the many services available to them throughout the community. The free event takes place on Wednesday, March 9, from 9:00 a.m. to noon.Community Resource Fair Image

The Community Resource Fair is presented by the Gaston College Life Skills Department and the College’s Learning, Persistence, and Completion Center, with assistance from the NCWorks Career Center – Lincoln and Centralina. The event will feature booths and displays representing various community resources, college services, and programs that can provide assistance, advice, support, and counseling.

Approximately 25 community agencies are expected to participate. Among them are:

“Gaston College wants to give its students and members of the community every opportunity to get ahead,” said Vicky Graves, Basic Skills Student Success Counselor at Gaston College. “For this Community Resource Fair, we have invited agencies that can help alleviate barriers to success. Attendees can get advice on issues like finances, childcare, transportation, housing, career readiness, and healthcare.”
