Career Fair Canceled

ANNOUNCEMENT: Due to safety precautions related to the COVID-19 virus this event has been canceled. If we’re able to reschedule for a future date we’ll communicate the information as it becomes available.

More than 50 employers will recruit job seekers to fill current and future job openings at the 2020 Gaston College Career Fair on Tuesday, March 24, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Myers Center Multipurpose Auditorium, Dallas Campus.

The annual event, hosted by the Gaston College Work-Based Learning and Placement Office, has invited employers from Gaston, Lincoln, Cleveland, Mecklenburg, and Catawba counties. Employers will be available to discuss job opportunities and answer questions about their companies as they seek to recruit employees in the following areas:

“We will never turn anyone away from our Career Fair event. Every year, the number of people attending our event keeps growing,” said Joy Morrow, Job developer/Coordinator of Work-Based Learning and Placement at Gaston College.

“Our students and alumni see the Career Fair as a valuable service and resource. We look forward to sharing the expertise and recruitment savvy of our employment partners with the community to help more people find employment. This year, we encourage more veterans, transitioning service members and their family members are encouraged to come and meet one-on-one with prospective employers,” said Mrs. Morrow.
