3 NEW TRAINING CLASSES

Class Descriptions

1) Evenness Interpretation:

2 Day Class —Feb. 18 & 19   (8:30 AM-4:30 PM)

Explains purpose and basic aspects of evenness interpretation including CV, imperfections, diagram and spectrogram charts.  USTER® STATISTICS 2013 with respect to evenness testing will also be covered.

Maximum class size:  24

2) Spectrogram Diagnostics

1 Day Class — Feb. 24          (8:30 AM-4:30 PM)

Covers how to manually calculate machine gear plans to determine which components of the machine are responsible for the periodic defects shown on the spectrogram. Participants should bring machine gear plans from their plants with the sizes for all change gears or pulleys for workshop exercises. Class will cover manual calculations only.

  • Required pre-requisite : Evenness Interpretation Class
  • Max. class size — 12
  • Basic knowledge of textile machinery concepts is strongly recommended.

3) USTER Knowledge Base Software

1 Day Class — Feb. 26      (8:30 AM-4:30 PM)

For customers that have optional USTER Knowledge Base Software, which will automatically identify those machine components that are responsible for the peaks on the spectrogram. Class will provide hands on training on how to set up and use the Knowledge Base Software. Participants should bring information about their machinery for the training.

  • Required pre-requisite: Evenness Interpretation Class
  • Max. size class —6

All classes will be held at the Textile Technology Center in Belmont, NC.

Classes are FREE (to all NC textile industry personnel *) and include lecture, manuals, lunch.

Calculators are required for each class.
