Are you a new or returning student?  This area will assist you in getting started using the Gaston College network and familiarize you with its most commonly used services.

Getting Started

Start using Self-Service

Self-Service is an online system used to register for classes, access your schedule and student records, make payments, view your financial aid information, etc.

Find your Student ID

Your Student ID is a seven-digit number that is generated once you apply to Gaston College.  The Student ID can be located on your acceptance letter and/or course schedule. You may also locate your Student ID in Self-Service.  Student ID numbers are used to access “in person” services such as walk-up services in Technology Services and other campus departments.

Test your Network Login

Your Network Login is used to access campus lab computers, the GC wireless network and Blackboard.

Check your Student E-Mail account.

Access your e-mail account right away to make sure you are on track and are receiving the latest campus information.  Remember that we will send electronic communications to your GC Student e-mail address. E-mail login information

Connect your laptop or other portable device to the GC WiFi Network

GC Curriculum Students are able to gain access to the GC Wireless Network by logging into the system using their network login username and password.  Network login information
