Welcome Back...

Returning students are those students who enrolled with Gaston College within the last two years. We are delighted that you decided to continue your educational journey with Gaston College. Below are a few helpful steps to start you on a successful journey.

ADMISSIONS PROCESS

For all programs, the following steps must be completed for admission into Gaston College.

  1. Complete and submit application
    Complete application online or pick up application at the Admissions Office on the main campus, Dallas Campus, 2nd floor Myers Center. Submit completed application to:

  3. Submit an official high school transcript
    Request that your high school mail an official high school transcript to:

    The documentation listed below can be submitted in the place of a traditional high school transcript:

    • Official Adult High School transcript
    • Official copy of GED scores
    • Official transcript from an accredited Correspondence School/Institution
    • Official transcript from Home School
    • Official transcript from a regionally accredited college or university reflecting an Associate Degree or higher.

Note: Request that all colleges/universities previously attended submit official transcripts to above address.

  1. Take placement test
    Take the COMPASS placement test. (available test dates). If you have taken the SAT, ACT, COMPASS, and/or ASSET within the past five years at another college or university, please request that the scores be submitted to the Admissions Office. For information call 704.922.6214.

  2. Attend new student orientation
    Attend a new student orientation session to help ensure academic success and learn more about student resources, college policies, procedures, and publications.

    Please note: Students will be given specific information about when to attend orientation after each placement testing session. Students that are exempt from placement testing will receive an orientation postcard in the mail.

  3. Meet with a counselor or academic advisor
    After attending an orientation session, meet with a counselor or academic advisor for:
