Beam Gallery
The Beam Gallery in the Dewey F. and Prue K. Beam Center for Visual Arts (CVA) has approximately 600 square feet of floor space and 60 linear feet of carpet covered wall space. The gallery is a large, open space with a smaller, partially enclosed space at one end. Ceiling height is nine feet to 16 feet with indirect natural light and track lighting.
The Gaston College Art & Music Department features the work of local and regional emerging and professional artists in its exhibition program. A wide range of temporary exhibitions is scheduled each semester and lectures, gallery talks, and visiting artists supplement classroom and studio work. The Art Department and the Student Art Club mount a Student Art Show & Sale in the fall and a juried Student Exhibition in the spring.
A Visual Harvest, a juried art exhibition, is presented by the Gaston County Art Guild and Gaston College each fall in the Jeanne Rauch Gallery.
