50 hours of independent massage practicum
Total Required Minimum Semester Hours Credit: 42
*Upon completion of these requirements the student is eligible for a diploma and may apply for the National Certification Exam for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork. Licensure is required to practice as a Massage Therapist in North Carolina. Refer to website: www.bmbt.org for details.
The Therapeutic Massage Diploma Program is designed to be possible to complete in one year. This requires 19-21 credit hours for the first two semesters so it is a large time commitment. Please complete a Course Overload Waiver form if registering for more than 18 credit hours in one semester. The student who can take some or all of the corequisites before beginning the MTH series can complete the diploma without carrying an overload.
