Nominations Sought for Altrusa Award at Gaston College
Has a Gaston College faculty or staff member made an impact on your life or the life of someone you know?
Nominations are now being accepted for the 2016 Altrusa Award for Excellence which recognizes a Gaston College employee. Altrusa International of Gastonia established the award through the Gaston College Foundation to reward a full-time employee of Gaston College who personifies its mission, vision, and values and the ideal of lifelong learning through their life both on and off the campus.
Past and present students as well as others in the community may make nominations for this award which carries a cash prize. Nomination forms and award criteria are available on the Gaston College website at www.gaston.edu, or by calling (704) 922-6513. Completed nomination packets must be received in the Gaston College Foundation office by March 4, 2016.
“We are pleased that the Altrusa Club of Gastonia has chosen to invest in Gaston College and its employees,” commented Dr. Patricia Skinner, Gaston College president. “We are grateful to the club for its support and are appreciative of their many contributions to the community.”
Nominees will be judged on their involvement with students and impact on the educational life of Gaston College along with their extraordinary accomplishments and contributions to the College, community, or other civic activities.
