Learn to Operate a Forklift at Gaston College

Gaston College provides the training that will enable individuals to pursue the ample opportunities in the Gaston/Charlotte area for trained forklift operators in a wide variety of settings, including factories, warehouse facilities, loading docks, supply yards, and construction sites.

In the Forklift: Basic Operator class offered by The Gaston College Continuing Education male on forkliftDepartment, students will gain the fundamental knowledge and skills necessary to operate a sit-down, counterbalanced, LP gas-powered forklift. Safety aspects, operations, basic maintenance, and OSHA compliance issues will also be covered. Upon successful completion of the course, students will earn an operator’s certificate.

A second session of the Forklift: Basic Operator class meets on Friday, May 4, from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. in the Pearson Life Skills Building on the Gaston College Dallas Campus. The fee for the 6-hour class is $85 and includes the class manual.
