ABC-CLIO Ebook Collection [PRIMARY]

The ABC-CLIO Ebook Collection is a collection of complete all searchable by keyword, subject, author, title, or any Boolean search method. It includes the series Daily Life Through History, Critical Companions to Popular Contemporary Authors, Historic Events of the 20th Century, Literature in Context, as well as American Slavery: A Composite Autobiography.



Academic Search Complete [GENERAL SCHOLARLY]
Multi-disciplinary full text database containing full text for nearly 4,700 publications, including more than 3,600 peer-reviewed publications. In addition to the full text, this database offers indexing and abstracts for nearly 8,200 journals in the collection. This scholarly collection offers information in nearly every area of academic study including: computer sciences, engineering, physics, chemistry, language and linguistics, arts & literature, medical sciences, ethnic studies, and many more. Academic Search Premier offers peer-reviewed full text journals and critical information from many sources unique to this database.



Biography Reference Center [HISTORY]

Biography Reference Center offers a comprehensive collection of more than 461,000 full-text biographies, including the complete full-text run of Biography Today and Biography, as well as thousands of narrative biographies that are not available in other databases. In addition to keyword searching, users can also locate biographies of interest by browsing more than 30 genre categories, including actors, authors, composers, explorers, figures relevant to U.S. & world history, inventors, musicians, Presidents of the United States, current world leaders and many others



Business Source Complete [BUSINESS]
Full text coverage in all disciplines of business, including marketing, management, MIS, POM, accounting, finance and economics. Additional full text, non-journal content includes market research reports, industry reports, country reports, company profiles and SWOT analyses.

Coverage: Full text for more than 8,800 serials back to 1965 and searchable cited references back as far as 1998.



CINAHL w/Full Text [NURSING]
Covers nursing, biomedicine, health sciences librarianship, alternative/complementary medicine, consumer health and 17 allied health disciplines. Offers access to health care books, nursing dissertations, selected conference proceedings, standards of practice, educational software, audiovisuals and book chapters. Indexing for 2,717 journals and full text for 320 journals, plus legal cases, clinical innovations, critical paths, drug records, research instruments, and clinical trials.

Coverage: Indexing for 2,717 journals and full text for 320 journals. PDF backfiles to 1982 are also included.

Credo is a vast, online reference library, providing access to the full text of hundreds of highly regarded and popular titles. And Credo brings the facts alive with images, sound files, animations, videos and much more. Find speedy, simple answers and authoritative, in-depth articles.

Credo Reference contains dictionaries, bilingual dictionaries, thesauri, encyclopaedias, quotations and atlases, plus a wide range or subject-specific titles covering everything from accounting to zoology, via maps, math, management, martial arts, media studies, medicine, mountains, moons, music, multimedia, mythology.



Digital NC [HISTORY]

DigitalNC is the online home for materials presented by the North Carolina Digital Heritage Center. DigitalNC and the North Carolina Digital Heritage Center are supported by Library Services and Technology Act funds from the Institute of Museum and Library Services, administered by the State Library of North Carolina, a division of the Department of Cultural Resources.

Currently Digital NC contains historical information from Gaston College.



ERIC [EDUCATION]
Indexes over 750 journals in the field of education from 1966 to present.

Coverage: Includes full text of ERIC Digests from 1967 to present.



Health Source: Nursing/Academic Edition [NURSING]
Provides more than 400 scholarly full text journals focusing on many medical disciplines, and provides abstracts and indexing for over 500 journals. Also includes integrated results from Clinical Pharmacology (which replaces USP DI: Volume II, Advice for the Patient) and access to Stedman's Medical Dictionary.



INFOTRAC Newsstand [NEWSPAPERS]
InfoTrac Newsstand is a full-text news and newspaper database which allows users to search articles by title, headline, date, newspaper section or other assigned fields. InfoTrac Newsstand includes full text access to the New York Times (1985-present) as well as many other resources including The Economist and USA Today. It also includes selective or full text coverage of several North Carolina newspapers. Infotrac Newsstand contains over 130 million articles and is updated every day.

Contains hundreds of full-text publications and thousands of legal forms. The full-text legal reference books are provided through Nolo, the nation's oldest and most-respected provider of legal information for consumers and small businesses. Includes state-specific resources.



Lexis Nexis Academic [LEGAL] (campus only)

Research areas in LEXIS-NEXIS Academic (Lexis-Nexis) cover top news, general news topics, and news transcripts; foreign language news sources; company, industry, and market news; legal news; company financial information; general medical and health topics and medical abstracts; accounting, auditing, and tax information; law reviews; federal case law; U.S. Code; and state legal research.



Literary Reference Center Plus [LITERATURE]
Literary Reference Center Plus contains full text for 31,098 plot summaries, synopses and work overviews, nearly 100,000 articles/essays of literary criticism, nearly 140,000 author biographies (including 20,000 in-depth bios), more than 430 literary journals, more than 605,000 book reviews, more than 60,000 classic and contemporary poems, more than 15,000 classic and contemporary short stories, more than 5,200 author interviews, more than 7,100 classic texts and much more. Literature Resource Center [LITERATURE]
The Literature Resource Center contains more than 371,000 full-text journal articles, 38,000 critical essays, and over 122,000 author biographies. It also includes Merriam-Webster's Encyclopedia of Literature, featuring 10,000 definitions of literary terms as well as 4,329 work overviews, plot summaries and explications.

Covers a wide variety of topics from about 3,100 magazines and journals from 1984 to present.

Coverage: Includes many complete articles from more than 1500 periodicals from 1990 to present

Newspaper Source Plus [NEWSPAPERS]
Newspaper Source Plus provides cover-to-cover full text for 149 national & international newspapers, including The New York Times, The Boston Globe, San Francisco Chronicle, The Christian Science Monitor, USA Today, The Washington Post, The Washington Times, The Times (London), The Age, The Australian, The Toronto Star, The Irish Times and others. The database also contains selective full text for more than 410 U.S newspapers, including The Chicago Tribune, The Detroit Free Press, San Jose Mercury News, etc.

In addition, full-text television & radio news transcripts are provided from CBS News, CNN, CNN International, FOX News, National Public Radio (NPR), etc.
