Welcome to Gaston College’s Business and Information Technology Division.  Our mission is to provide innovative, quality instruction and support services for programs within this division. We strive to promote and provide work-based learning opportunities and maintain positive relations with business and industry within our community. The division offers students the knowledge and skills that prepare them for careers in accounting, business, criminal justice, information technology, medical office administration, office administration, and paralegal.

Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs

 

In addition to Gaston College’s regional accreditation by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges, many of its acbsp logoBusiness and Information Technology programs are also accredited by the Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP).  ACBSP is a leading specialized accreditation body for business education supporting, celebrating, and rewarding teaching excellence. The Business and Information Technology programs at Gaston College that are accredited by ACBSP include: Accounting, Business Administration, Business Administration-Human Resources Management, Global Logistics and Distribution Management, Computer Information Technology, Computer Programming, Networking Technology, Web Technologies, Office Administration, Legal Office Administration, and Medical Office Administration.  To review the most current Quality Assurance Report (QAR) for ACBSP, click here.
