New Student Orientation

All new students must complete New Student Orientation.

Students enrolling at Gaston College must complete the online New Student Orientation prior to attending an advising session and receiving clearance for registration. Exceptions are made for those students enrolling as Career and College Promise (CCP) students, and previously enrolled Gaston College students.  Students with Huskins or Dual Enrollment college credit who now plan to enroll in college since graduating from high school are required to complete New Student Orientation.

The purpose of the online New Student Orientation is to help ensure the academic success of our students by providing information on student resources, college policies and procedures, and college publications.  Students who complete the placement test will receive this information immediately following their testing session.  If you have questions regarding New Student Orientation, contact the Office of Admissions at (704) 922-6214 or email
