Foundation
The Gaston College Foundation, Inc (GCF) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation chartered in 1968. It encourages and secures financial support to further the work of Gaston College , and is governed by a nine-member Board of Directors. Acting under the authority and approval of the Gaston College Board of Trustees and the Gaston College president, the Foundation devises and achieves the means that will provide the college with needed resources.
Unrestricted gifts to the Gaston College Foundation are allocated to areas of the College that have the greatest need. Donors may, however, designate contributions for a particular purpose. These include but are not limited to construction and renovation projects, instructional equipment; classroom or laboratory furnishings; scholarships for any program of study; faculty/staff professional development; college radio station WSGE; and/or Foundation endowments. Any contribution may be designated as an honor or memorial gift and honorees or their families are notified of the gift.
